In his welcome remarks, Mr. Sidrotul Muntaha, Director of Barombong Maritime Polytechnic, expressed his appreciation to all speakers, researchers, and participants for their contributions. He emphasized that ICAMI 2026 demonstrates the institution’s commitment to fostering research, innovation, and professional development in maritime education and training while strengthening global maritime connectivity.

The conference featured distinguished international speakers, including Prof. Jin Ki Seor from the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT), South Korea; Dr. Gokhan Camliyurt from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom; and Capt. Angga Luthfi Eldrianto from Augustea Intercrews Indonesia. Through keynote presentations and panel discussions, the speakers shared insights on emerging technologies, maritime education, digital transformation, and the future competencies required by maritime professionals.

ICAMI 2026 covered a wide range of topics, including maritime education and training, maritime human resources, smart shipping, smart ports, maritime engineering, logistics and supply chains, maritime cybersecurity, environmental sustainability, safety risk management, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, digitalization, and automation. Researchers were also given the opportunity to present their latest findings and engage in meaningful academic discussions.
